Hello!

I never grew out of running around the fields, climbing trees, and making mud castles. I look at the

world by experiencing it through the movement of my body within a landscape. By slowing down

and collecting wood, rocks or clay, I pay attention to the materials of the world. The process brings

about a child-like wanderlust and a joy of foraging. From walking, through foraging to making; one

process leads to another.

Within my practice as a ceramicist and a sculptor, I try to give back to the natural world what it has

given me by letting materials lead the process of my craft. I’m interested in traditional techniques in

ceramics and wood-work. I combine the craft with the unpredictability of natural materials in

contemporary design. I celebrate the world around us through absurd but well-made objects that

spark wonder.
