Pottery Porcelain and wooden vase with a gravel glaze

Porcelain and wooden vase with a gravel glaze

£175.00

A half slip-cast and half lathe turned vase, decorated with a traditional Chinese porcelain glaze and gravel from the Cairngorms. The two parts are stitched together with a waxed cord (even though it is not on the photos).

Dimensions:

I was walking along the road from Braemar to Linn of Dee, 36 km from the start of the journey. Hitting the tarmac brought a pain to my foot that would linger until the end of the walk. Because I was carrying a pot on my chest, my body had to balance out the weight. And the pot just kept getting heavier with more and more materials. But I was happy to carry it, it was my weight to carry.
