A half slip-cast and half hand-built porcelain pot, decorated with a traditional Chinese porcelain glaze and a granite rock from the Cairngorms.

Dimensions

The bottom half was slip cast in porcelain, the top was handbuilt once the bottom was hard enough not to collapse under pressure. Working with porcelain is very tricky as I could only do a couple layers of coils at a time to keep the form from collapsing. Usually I would be working on at least 5 pieces at the same time.
